The dress code is cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks. Additionally, the ceremony will take place on the grass; choose your footwear accordingly!
August in LA Jolla, CA is typically mid 70s - mid 80s. Since our ceremony will take place outdoors please plan according (wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, etc) and please feel free to bring a hat and/or umbrella!
Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest". When you go to RSVP you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm, we recommend guests arrive by 5:00pm so there is time to mingle. There can be traffic getting into La Jolla, especially during rush hour, so please plan accordingly.
We strongly suggest using rideshare (both to avoid parking and to fully enjoy the open bar!). If you prefer to drive we will have valet service from 4:00pm-11:30pm. Drop off location for the valet is located on the right side of Cuvier St at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art loading dock. Once you drop off your car you will walk across the street to The Wedding Bowl, which is a small grassy bluff right on the coast. There will be a welcome sign to greet you!
The ceremony will take place at The Wedding Bowl, which is located on the grass at Cuvier Park. The reception will take place across the street at the Museum of Contemporary Art. We will have street access to our venue site at the museum - you will only need to walk right across the street and up the stairs to grab a cocktail!
The ceremony and cocktail hour will both take place outside. The reception will take place indoors. The cocktail hour and reception spaces are connected and you will be able to access both spaces following the ceremony.
There is a section to note all dietary restrictions when choosing your food option within the RSVP process.
