Passport Validity.
Answer
Regulations dictate that passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel.

When should I arrive in Lake Como?
Answer
Our wedding events are taking place on Wednesday, September 13th to Friday, September 15th. Please feel free to travel to Lake Como at your leisure. Rob and I will update this site with our personal itinerary as soon as possible. We are not taking a honeymoon right away and are planning to extend our trip to spend time with family and friends who can stay post celebrations.

Where should I fly into?

The closest airports are Milan Malpensa (MXP; most international/ US arrivals; 45 minutes from Milan center) and Milano Linate (LIN; option if you're arriving from elsewhere in Europe; 20 minutes from Milan center) which are both about 40-50 minutes away from Lake Como.

Transportation between Milan & Lake Como.
Answer
Cabs / Ubers to Milan downtown, MXP airport, and Lake Como are all equidistant and roughly the same cost. There is also a train that runs from downtown Como to city center Milan. Shuttles will be provided for the wedding day from the Hilton in City Center (near some other room block hotels), along with the Sheraton, and any transportation needs to be coordinated through your hotel or Airbnb. Most hotels and villas have parking accommodations, so if you plan on renting a car to drive through the alps or wine country before or after, all of the major rental car companies operate out of the Milan airports/ city.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If your invitation says “and Guest”, then by all means bring them to the celebration. If not, we kindly ask that it be just you. We are looking to keep the guest count at a certain number. However, do not worry as there will be plenty of people traveling solo for our wedding.

Where should I stay?
Answer
We have a block of rooms available for booking at a few hotels in which we will coordinate travel to and from Villa Erba. Please see the accommodations section for further details. We highly recommend booking as soon as possible, given that September is a peak month for vacations in Lake Como. Should you choose not to stay in the hotels, we recommend looking for accommodations in Cernobbio, the nearest major town. Travel to and from Villa Erba will only be provided from the room block hotels (which will include a stop in the city center of Como (near the Hilton).

What is the dress attire for the wedding?

Black Tie Preferred. Picture La Dolce Vita and James Bond style - wear floor-length gowns, tuxes or black suits.
