We matched on a dating app and didn't ghost the other....well Cristina took her sweet time responding (3 weeks is normal right?). It started with a few text messages that lead to hour long telephone conversations. Thankfully, there was food at the end. Our first date was post call/night shift for both at Noah's Bagels. Chris nearly fell asleep and had to cut the date short because he isn't blessed with a call bed to rest in. Unfortunately, Cristina didn't understand Chris' nonverbal cues and was confused until later. Fortunately, the second and subsequent dates didn't result in a confused Cristina. Chris' furbaby Fiona gave her whole hearted approval by the third date, declaring Cristina's lap the best place to snuggle and use as a napkin. We eventually met each other's families, survived board game wars, and found love in the midst of a pandemic (and yes, Cristina taught Chris that board game as well). A year and change later, Chris asked a very important question that Cristina could not say no to (really, the options were 'yes' and 'also yes' on the wine label).
