We met In Jr. High. I was in 7th grade and he was in 8th grade. But technically we also went to elementary school together but don't remember each other. Our friendship didn't begin until high school at Chino High. We always hung out with the same friends and sat at the same lunch tables! Little did I know that he had a big crush on me! Who knew? We lost touch after high school, then one day 17 years later there was a friend request on Facebook from Freddie! After exchanging messages we talked on the phone for hours! The rest, as they say, is history.

We were in New York for Thanksgiving, in 2017. The kids and my sister had joined us on the trip. On Thanksgiving we had dinner at Keens Steakhouse and before dessert was served we went around the table and each of us said what we were thankful for. When it was Freddie's turn he stood up and walked over to me and got down on one knee and said the most beautiful words to me! The restaurant erupted in applause and we cheered with Champagne. It was the perfect night in New York City and it was extra special because Thanksgiving was my moms favorite holiday. We are excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
