Remember this moment

We first matched on a dating app in April of 2022, with Sam messaging Christian first. Although Sam was in Yakima at the time, he was only visiting. Sam and Christian talked and Sam let Christian know he was thinking about moving to Yakima. Even though Christian thought "I'm probably not going to meet him in person", Sam encouraged them to exchange Snapchat information to stay in touch. Christian agreed, and the two talked off and on for 2 months, getting to know each other. Sam eventually moved to Yakima in June of 2022 and invited Christian to go with him to get ice cream. Later on, the two would consider this their first date.

During our trip to Seattle for Taylor Swift's concert, we had arranged a day to go sightseeing around the big city for this was Sam's first time being in Seattle. We had arranged for a sunset viewing on top of the Seattle Space Needle. Christian almost gave away the surprise while at the top by saying, "Oh this would be such a beautiful proposal spot with the sunset in the background." Little did he know, in the next few moments, that was happening. As Christian was taking in the sunset, Sam got down on one knee and tapped Christian to get him to turn around, asking the big question with tears of joy "will you marry me?" and Christian responding through all the tears "YES!"
