Sarah: Kevin's roommates, Matty V and Jesse, tried to convince me that "Kevin thought I was cute." At first, I really had no interest in answering Kevin's texts to go out to dinner but it was the end of the semester and I was getting ready to move out of my dorm room at Lyndon State College and into my first apartment in St. Johnsbury, VT. I thought, why not... I have no food left in my dorm and this guy will probably pay for the whole meal and some drinks, right? Kevin: I'm not really sure what gained my interest in Sarah to be honest. We had minimal interaction in the past, but a lot of mutual friends. I figured I might as well as try to take her out. She was nice, cute, and always seemed to go with the flow. At the slight mention of her name to Matty, he knew what to do. I woke up the next morning with a text from him including a phone number that said "Sarah will go out with you." What a friend, right? Kevin took Sarah on their first date to the Kingdom Taproom. The night went well. dinner, drinks, friends at the bar with a dash of subpar dancing. Overall, we enjoyed our time together more than we both expected. A week later they graduated college. Sarah went home to Jersey for winter break while Kevin stayed up in the NEK to keep working... and they talked every single day until Sarah came back up to VT. *A fun little story* After settling into her apartment, Sarah woke up from a nap to a surprising phone call. It was Kevin calling her after a day of skiing and asked if she wanted to grab some food with some friends and then maybe hit up some bars that night. (so original) Sarah said yes of course but Kevin just needed a ride home.....from the hospital. Kevin broke his shoulder skiing and Sarah just happened to live next to the hospital. So, it worked out. She picked him up, they went out to dinner with the same people Kevin went skiing with, and they all went back out for the night.

Between Summer 2016 to Summer 2017 Kevin and Sarah did their own thing. Sarah moved back home to NJ and Kevin moved between CT and VT...but they always kept contact through texts and social media as most people do. The end of Summer 2017 was the unofficial start to physically connecting again. It all started when Kevin came down to Jersey to meet up with our college friends Fitz and Halle. A week or two after that, Sarah drove up to Mount Snow (where Kevin decided to move to) and they took their first of many scenic chairlift rides together. (Hiking is not their forte) After that, they both drove back and forth between NJ, CT, and VT to visit each other every few weeks. Fast forward to May 2018, Kevin convinced Sarah to meet up with him in his hometown of Cromwell, CT for his birthday. That weekend Sarah met so many of Kevin's close childhood and family friends and his mom, Sharon. In December of that year, Sarah moved up to Vermont to live with Kevin. Ending the travel between the states. (Thankfully)

Sarah set up Kevin for a cute proposal… They took one of the last scenic chairlift rides of the season (classic) on the Mount Snow Bluebird Express. They walked around at the top of the summit, took some fall photos, and got a drink. …but he didn't do it. He didn't propose... In Kevin's defense, it was his parents' 42nd wedding anniversary and as much as he loves them, he had no interest in sharing anniversaries with them. That's what birthdays are for. So, he did it the next day as he promised he would do after noticing how upset Sarah was. And as promised; Kevin got home from work, and asked Sarah in the comfort of their home.
