Techny Prairie Park and Fields
Techny Park and Fields is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the Sheraton Northbrook. It's a great place to go for a morning walk or a run. If you follow the red line on the Techny Park and Fields map, you'll have a perfect 5k.
Little Louie's
Little Louie's Northbrook's favorite hot dog joint. It's a 5 minute walk to St. Norbert's Church if you're looking for a bite to eat before the ceremony. You MUST get the cheese fries. Little Louie's is "A Part of Growing Up..." in Northbrook as you'll see by all the pictures on the wall. Bonus points if you can find Molly! She's on the wall twice (9 years old and 18 years old).
Landmark Inn
The Landmark Inn is a local dive bar and grill about a 5 minute walk from St. Norbert's Church. This is a good option if you have some time to kill and looking for a drink or bite to eat.
Pinstripes Northbrook
Our wedding reception is at Pinstripes but the venue also operates as a swanky bowling ally with bocce courts as well. This would be a fun thing to do if you have any time to fill! It's a 3 minute walk from the Sheraton Northbrook.
Save Ferris Water Tower
On your way to St. Norbert's Church, keep an eye out for The World Famous Northbrook Water Tower, as featured in the John Hughes masterpiece Ferris Bueller's Day Off. While it no longer sports its iconic "Save Ferris" signage (it's blank), it remains the centerpiece of Northbrook's rich cultural history.
