To Be Continued.....

Let's Try Again on Sunday, May 30, 2021

Due to the current pandemic and uncertainty of the coming months, the couple has decided to postpone their wedding reception until Sunday, May 30th, 2021 (Same Time, Same Place). All RSVP's will be saved, and if you are unable to attend next year, please update your response accordingly. Michael and Frances will be married in a private ceremony on May 24th, 2020 together with their parents and wedding party, and hope to share the event virtually with everyone in the days to follow. The 2021 Reception will serve as their 15th Anniversary Together + 1 Year Wedding Anniversary, and it is their hope that by that time we will all be in a better situation to celebrate and feel comfortable gathering together and showing our affection for one another. Stay Safe and Looking forward to celebrating!

The Story

7.7.05 - 5.24.06

Frances and Mike originally met in 2005 on her 18th birthday in the backyard of his parent's house. Mike had just come home from New York after working on set with his cousin Lowell. It was dark, and back then she was too cool to wear glasses, so she could only hear his voice before she ever really saw his face. It was a voice that reminded her of Morgan Freeman or Barry White, or the radio announcer from “Bedtime Magic” and she was smitten. They got to know each other in passing over the summer before college started, but never really connected. They didn’t see each other too much during Freshman year of college, but every time she did see him she would tell her cousin Sadie: “Do you remember that guy I told you about with the voice? Well I saw him the other day, and…….he is so cute” After the school year ended, Frances was invited to one of the famous Duca parties where she saw Mike again. She was feeling confident enough to tell him how she felt. She told him she had had a crush on him for the past year and that she wanted to see if he felt the same. He said YES. They held hands all night and exchanged phone numbers when he walked her to her car. Four days later she asked him be her boyfriend, and three days after that he met most of her family at a Memorial Day cookout. 13+ years later they are still together!

The Proposal

5.24.19

After their 13th Anniversary Party while they sat around the backyard fire table with friends and family (Frances's Dad, Joey, Brian, Mikaela, Jana & Tom) playing card games, Mike got down on one knee (with no ring) and asked Frances to marry him "not right now, but someday". As Frances hates surprises, she kindly asked him to sit-down. He indicated that it was a serious proposal....and with tears in her eyes, she said YES! After a kiss, Mike promptly sat down next to her and held her hand.
