Things To Do

We are so excited to see everyone at Mike and Sarah's wedding! As the weekend approaches, we wanted to share some information about Doylestown for those who have not been here in a while or might be less familiar. If you are looking for someplace to eat on Saturday, June 8th, Mike's sister Katie, and her family, will be at Spuntino Wood Fired Pizzeria | Pizzeria from 5-7, to greet anyone who decides to spend the day or the evening in Doylestown: There are also many other bars and restaurants in the blocks surrounding Sputinos, which is at the main intersection in the heart of Doylestown. We Listed below some of our favorite options most within walking distance of each other! Shopping: There are a variety of boutique and contemporary clothing stores, an excellent book shop (The Doylestown Bookshop), a used book shop, and a beloved local record and music store (Home | Siren Record), alongside several coffee shops, bakeries, candy and ice cream shops, all in a close distance.

If you haven't had a chance to visit the Mercer Museum or Fonthill Castle yet, it is a must visit for Doylestown. In the 19th Century, Henry Mercer had the forethought to preserve the tools of the era, and build a cement castle to house them. The architecture of the building is as interesting as the objects it holds. As interesting in Mercer's own home, a (slightly more elaborate) cement castle, adorned with historical tiles that he produced in his own tile works, which is next door. Tickets and reservations can be made online ahead of time, which is recommended. Note that the Mercer Museum is a short walk with downtown Doylestown and Sputino's, but Fonthill is a (very short) car ride.
