Melanie Hubbard

Maid of Honor

Melanie is the yin to Sarah's yang. They met in high school, but it wasn't until after college that they became like sisters. Whether they're traveling the world or driving around town listening to Taylor Swift, there is never a dull moment. They've shared many memories over their favorite drink; espresso martinis, while learning how to adult, and figuring out how to become the next Lisa Vanderpump. Through all the twists and turns of life, Melanie has been the most thoughtful and loyal friend- and Sarah feels so lucky to have her as a “sister”, and maid of honor.

From giving advice on how to get chocolate stains out of her shirt when she was 10 to how to navigate life as an adult- Krista is always ready to lend an ear and give the best guidance. She’s always been a role model to Sarah and continues to be as she is the best mom to Sarah’s niece and nephews. Sarah can’t wait to cheers Prosecco with Krista by her side at her wedding!

Sarah cherishes the trips and time they’ve spent together and can’t wait for the big day!

Emily Fuerst

Bridesmaid

Emily is and has been a role model to Sarah since they met when Sarah was a junior in college. Lucky for Sarah, Emily is also a mentor for Sarah in business as they work in the same industry too. Emily’s positive outlook, optimism, and friendship means the world to Sarah, and she has learned so much from Emily. The two love to explore different restaurants in DC and are always trying to scout out the best cocktail bar. They’ve spent numerous trips exploring new places, trying new activities, and enjoying a spa or two too! Emily is always a shoulder for Sarah to lean on, and also, the best girl to laugh with. Sarah is so blessed to have Emily in her life and on the big day!

Brezny Galiby

Brezny and Sarah met as they were finishing college and entering the “real world.” Since then, they’ve spent time traveling, enjoying “the bubble” of Arlington, and celebrating life’s milestones. Brunch is one of Brezny and Sarah’s favorite things and they’ve shared countless times trying different ones throughout the DMV. Brezny has a big heart and is always supportive of Sarah, which Sarah is thankful for. Sarah can’t wait to have Brezny beside her on her big day!

Yeraldin Pardo

Jake Kerr

Best Man

Jake and Chris met when they were just three years old, and they have been close friends ever since. Growing up in the same neighborhood, just a few-minute walk from each other, the two spent countless hours together and became like brothers. Jake is an exceptionally caring person who always goes the extra mile to make sure others feel included. You can recognize him because he will probably be the first person to introduce himself and ask how you’re doing (and really mean it). He brings an incredible positive energy to any room he steps into, and is known as the hype-man and life of the party to those who have spent time with him. Jake has been a loyal and unwavering friend to Chris for nearly 30 years, and Chris couldn’t be more excited to have him standing next to him as his best man on his wedding day.

Eric Alvarez Carranza

Groomsman

Eric was high school classmate and friend of Sarah’s, but in the years since Chris and Sarah have been together, Eric and Chris have become great friends in their own right. Eric is a friendly and laid back guy who gets along with anyone. Chris and Eric have spent many football Sunday’s hanging out and cheering on their respective teams through the TV screen (even though they don’t always listen to us), and tried out nearly every restaurant and bar that Arlington (where they both live) has to offer. Although Sarah and Eric met each other first, Chris is thrilled to have Eric standing there with him on his side of the aisle.

Alex Bloom

Groomsman

Chris and Alex first became good friends in high school, and remained close through college and beyond. Since they graduated from college, Chris and Alex have both lived near each other in Arlington, Virginia and continued to hang out regularly. Whether it’s talking smack about the fantasy football leagues they’re in together, or trying to take each other’s money during the poker nights Alex periodically hosts, the many activities Chris and Alex share keep them constantly in touch. Alex is the perennial organizer, who genuinely takes joy in making sure all his friends can have a good time together. After many years of friendship, Chris feels truly blessed to have Alex still in his neighborhood, in his life, and in his wedding party.

Leo Braudy

Groomsman

Leo and Chris first got to know each other through their shared love of tennis, taking numerous lessons together when they were in middle school. Chris and Leo later ended up attending middle and high school together at St. Stephen’s, where their friendship really took off. Leo has an amazing sense of humor and can always make others laugh (sometimes when he’s not even trying to). He’s an out-of-the-box thinker and the kind of guy who could sell snow to an eskimo. Chris has always admired that Leo is unabashedly himself and isn’t afraid to tell you what he thinks. You’ll be able to spot Leo in the middle of the dance floor busting out some goofy (yet somehow fresh) dance moves with Chris when the DJ plays the right song. From the tennis court to the dance floor, Leo and Chris are a great duo and Chris is incredibly excited to have him Leo as a groomsman.

Doc Jacobsen

Groomsman

Chris and Doc have been friends since elementary school. In addition to both attending St. Stephen’s together, Chris and Doc really became close as baseball teammates for many years. Doc has resided in Atlanta, Georgia for the last few years, but the two have remained close friends through frequent phone calls to catch up, and Doc’s regular visits up to northern Virginia. Doc’s affable and easy-going demeanor have made him many friends, and Chris feels lucky to count himself among them. Doc is always down to have a good time, and you can pick him out from the crowd from his big smile and the cold beer in his hand. Of all the teams Chris and Doc have been on together, Chris is most excited about Doc being a member of his groomsmen team.

Ian Kaufman

Groomsman

Ian and Chris were randomly-assigned roommate their first year at the University of Virginia. But from the first time they met, the immediately hit it off and knew they would be great friends. In fact, things went so well as roommates their first year that they decided to live together for two more years during college. During their time at UVA and since, Chris and Ian have spent many hours having deep conversations (and sometimes debates) about sports, politics and life in general. Ian is a kind and thoughtful person who you always sense is sincerely listening when others speak. But don’t let his relaxed and pensive demeanor fool you, he can turn up and bring the party when the time is right! Whether living in the same apartment or living across the globe from one another, Chris and Ian have maintained a close connection that would be the envy of any random college roommates.

David Rapp

Groomsman

Chris and David met during college at UVA, where they became friends while living together for two years. Chris and David made countless memories together hanging out in their apartment, going out on the town and navigating the stresses of final exams together. Although they’ve lived in different cities since graduating from college, Chris and David have kept in touch through regular phone calls and their active group chat with fellow groomsman Ian. Their shared love of music has also helped to keep them close, with the two frequently exchanging the latest songs they’ve been listening to. David is a very personable guy who is always happy to strike up a conversation and meet new people, and is consistently kind and generous with his friends. Although they’ve both come a long way since college, Chris can’t wait to celebrate with David on the big day like they’re back in Charlottesville!

Sam Teague

Groomsman

Chris and Sam have been close friends since the first grade, attending St. Stephen’s together through high school. Sam and Chris also attended UVA together, where they were roommates for a year. From vacations with each other’s families when they were young, to frat parties in college, to dinner double dates with Sarah and Sam’s wife Hayley, Chris and Sam have truly grown up together. Sam has a truly magnetic personality and always seems to have a witty or comment on hand to make others laugh and lighten any mood. After having had the privilege of standing next to Sam as a groomsman during Sam’s wedding, Chris couldn’t be more excited to return the favor and have Sam by his side on the big day!

Flo Galiby

Head Usher

Sarah met Flo when he was dating his now wife, Brezny. Over the years, Sarah and Flo have become like siblings- where Flo is the annoying little brother! They’ve bonded over their love for wine, football (American football!), and trying new restaurants. Flo is a great friend - one that can always bring you up when you’re down, and always tells you the honest cold hard truth! Even though he has poor taste in the New York Giants, Sarah has learned to forgive him through their friendship, and Sarah is excited for the memories they will continue to make.
