Lacuna Lofts has multiple event venues and businesses on premises. Upon arrival, use the North Entrance door. The venue has determined that COVID protocols have been met through our advance submission of vaccination cards, so Lacuna has changed course and there will be no further ID check at the door. COVID mandates are in a state of constant flux! As of 4/10/22, the city of Chicago has lifted its mask mandate for indoor events, and masks will not be required to attend any aspect of our event in person. Please feel free to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable, but it will not be compulsory. If this changes, we will update the website as soon as we have more recent guidance. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to Madeline (224-425-8329) or Patrick (630-297-6598) personally - we would be happy to provide you with educational resources or whatever else you may need.
We are registered at Zola and the link is available above, for your convenience. Our wedding registry reflects a few items for our home and future together, and will also have options to help defray the costs of our honeymoon travels.
Whatever you're most comfortable in! Our ceremony will be at a church and our reception will be at a loft, so we expect and welcome a mix of attires. That said, if you're looking for an official dress code, we'd recommend Semi-Formal attire. That means a suit for the guys and dresswear for the ladies. Weather in April in Chicago is a mixed bag, so come prepared for rain or shine.
Our venues will not require a mask in order to enter. That said, public transit, Uber, and some businesses around the city still have private mask mandates in place. For your convenience, we suggest bringing a mask. As of 4/10/2022, guests no longer need to bring proof of vaccination or a photo ID. Since we submitted all records of our guests' vaccination status in advance, the venue has deemed us compliant with their restrictions and there will be no additional ID check required at the door. This is new guidance from the venue, as previously they had anticipated conducting vaccination card checks at the door. Thank you all for your patience as procedures have changed!
Don't worry! We'd love to have you, but completely understand that not everyone will be able to attend. If you know you won't be attending our wedding after receiving our save the date, please let us know as soon as possible via phone or email. If you have already received our invitation, feel free to RSVP "Not Attending" on our RSVP tab above. We also aim to provide some form of virtual experience, should you like to participate in our ceremony but feel unable to attend in-person for any reason.
We know many of our guests have specific dietary needs and we don't want anybody to starve. In your RSVP, please let us know what your limitations are, so that we can do our best to accommodate. For dinner, we will have a vegan option available and one of our meat options will also be gluten free. We are working with our venue to have common allergens (like peanuts and tree nuts) clearly labeled. If more containment measures are needed, please let us know.
