Chris had recently moved to San Francisco from Boston and was in the process of settling in when he and Veronica matched on the dating app Hinge. Veronica had been living in SF for 7 years already, and had quite the collection of friends, but was still looking for her person. After a week or two of chatting back and forth they decided to meet in-person at 15 Romolo, a back-alley cocktail bar with a jukebox & a sultry vibe, that Chris had picked out. The connection was immediate and mutual. Veronica was celebrating her 30th birthday the next week and told Chris about how she coordinated all of her friends to take a party bus up to wine country for the day. Chris remarked that he had never been wine tasting before and Veronica invited him on the spot. Chris spent the entire day trapped with Veronica's wild and loving crew and it was all that she needed to see her already growing feelings validated by the people she loved. Over the next 3-4 months, Chris had visits from his Mom Sue, her Partner Tom, and Sister Shannon, as well as his Dad Chris and Partner Jackie, all of whom he introduced to Veronica and they quickly could see little Chrissy falling deep in love with this California girl.
