For those who might not know, Joe and Tory first met four years ago while working in higher education. Joe had moved to the North Shore of Massachusetts to work in in the admission office at Endicott after he wrapped up his degrees from Providence College. Tory, who had completed her undergrad and grad school at Endicott College, found herself working for her alma mater's alumni office. Little did they know they would soon cross paths through the help of a mutual friend, Mariah. Mariah, who was friends with Tory and worked in Joe's new office, would introduce them and they would soon go from coworkers to friends to so much more!
On Friday, July 30, 2021 we were getting ready to spend our last day in Massachusetts, soaking up as much of Gloucester as we could. We spent the morning together hitting our favorite Main Street spots (coffee & iced tea at Castaways and sandwiches at Virgilios) and collecting last minute souvenirs to always remember our first home. The afternoon consisted of relaxing at Good Harbor, a favorite Cape Ann beach, right at the outskirts of town. After the beach we headed back to the apartment to get ready for our dinner date at Passports, an early date night spot turned favorite restaurant. A last night in Gloucester wouldn't have been complete without a quick trip over to the Beauport, the waterfront boutique hotel bar. Hand in hand we started walking toward the Beauport when Joe made a small suggestion to walk along the beach to catch the sunset and reminisce. As we walked they talked about their time on the North Shore, both separately and together, the memories we made, the careers we started, and of course all the exciting things to come from their new CT adventure. Tory, deep in the conversation didn't quite notice Joe pause and get down on one knee until he said "There's just one more thing we need to do. Victorya Rose, will you marry me?"
