Michael and I met online, as is the typical fashion these days. We decided on a movie date. We enjoyed our movie (we talked through the whole film), and decided on a spontaneous trip to Tahoe at 10 p.m. We grabbed a few blankets and made it to the only beach open that late at night. We watched the stars under moonlight for a few hours, telling each other our life stories. After discovering a mutual love of travel, movies and board games, the rest is history and we have been inseparable ever since!

Michael had been planning to propose for some time, he is quite the planner when it comes to big events. He had infinite plans that were derailed by the unexpected obstacles of 2020, but the proposal itself turned out perfect. When I got home from work that day, I opened the door to an unusually quite house... I started to read a trail of postcards pinned on our walls. He documented every little milestone on each postcard and when I finally got to the door he was hiding behind, he popped the question! He gave me a beautiful ring and of course had my favorite Moscato waiting in the kitchen to mark the occasion. Although our proposal story isn't a grand one, it was absolutely perfect for us. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
