One & ½ yrs ago, my car wouldn’t start so I called my mechanic, Chris. He said I need a boyfriend that works on cars. I asked if he knew anyone. He said his roommate is single & sent me a pic. Wow, he’s good looking! With Chris' help, Greg & I connected on Facebook & started chatting. I found him compelling & asked if I could call him. We talked for over an hour. While I was@work he bought a battery for my car and we made a date for Sunday to install the battery & have coffee. God had different plans for us. Saturday night he ended up in the ER w/the possibility of surgery. Sunday morning I sent out a prayer request to my FB family. I told Greg I think God put him in my life so that I could pray for him. Prayers were answered. He didn’t need surgery but had a lengthy stay@the hospital. Meanwhile, my car was still not running. Thx to cell phones, Greg’s patience&my quick learning skills, I was able to replace the battery. What a team! For the next 8 days while he was enjoying a clear liquid diet@the hospital we continued to talk by phone, which was very uncommon for me. By now, I knew he had a good heart & I couldn’t wait to meet him. 13 days after our first convo he came to my job on his Harley to pick me up. When I walked outside I said, “I thought I heard you drive by.” He turned his head toward me & I saw his beautiful blue eyes. It was love at first sight. Since than we’ve spent nearly every day together. We’ve gone thru great life changes & adventures. A 7-day Caribbean cruise, many long road trips, meeting each other’s friends & families, surviving 2 major surgeries from breast cancer, living sober lives & building our lives closer to God & to each other. We are in love. We respect & honor each other. We are best friends & we are blessed. Many of you remember my mechanic turned florist turned biker turned chef turned caregiver turned jeweler turned fiancé, he will soon become my husband. I found the one! Mom, you would love him. It’s a wrap, I found my weirdo!
