We're getting married!

After moving down from Ontario Canada in 2012 I enrolled in high school at NCCS in Champlain New York shortly after. Between 2013-2014 I was still trying to make friends and adjust to life in a different country. I would keep in touch with my friends from high school a lot through Facebook and that’s how I happened to get a message from Nate. He went to the same high school and knew a lot of the friends I knew. We started talking a lot, and eventually we became best friends. We decided we wanted to meet in person and had our first date at Angelo's Italian restaurant on a cold snowy January 11th 2014. The atmosphere in person was just the same as it was online. We really enjoyed each other’s company and shared lots of laughs. We spent our second date at the movies and had dinner at an Italian restaurant in Plattsburgh. Days later, we realized we really liked where things were going and made it official.

Nate wanted to do something special to celebrate our anniversary in 2017 so he reserved us dinner at a fancy steakhouse. We got there after they had just opened so for a few minutes we had the place to ourselves. Shortly after we were seated, he asked one of the waitresses if she could take our picture near the entryway. I started to see some of the other waiting staff turn their attention to us and before I realized what was happening Nate was down on one knee. Lots of teary OMG’s ensued. Overjoyed, I said yes! After dinner we enjoyed front row seats at a concert for one of my favorite bands.
