Sealing the Deal

They are good friends, best friends. Before they were together, Mike and Joyce already share quite a huge part of their life together - church life especially. Coming from a not-so-small-yet-not-so-big church where everyone is involved in everything, it's pretty common for everyone to serve together, go makan together, watch movies together, attend camps and conferences together. Because of that, they share very similar values when it comes to life and the way to go about it. They believe that if they step into a relationship, it should have marriage and eternity in mind. And both felt that it is not good for the man to be alone, so they confessed their love and entered into a relationship.

They both agreed some time ago that Mike will meet and inform both their parents before he proposes. So he talked to his parents one night after dinner and set a lunch date with her parents. Needless to say, it was an 'exciting' experience for him. After that, it was pretty much Googling and researching all kinds of suitable places to propose. They both like diving, so he planned a birthday dive trip to Perhentian's Alunan Resort. To cut things short, he took out the ring, bent the knee, and she said "Yes". And they celebrated with a surprise candlelight dinner under the stars.
