Casey: In 2014 I moved to Charlotte to complete my internship for my college degree. After the first month, I was ready to explore the Queen City, get out of my comfort zone, & meet new people. But the late night & early morning internship hours made it tough. A girlfriend of mine (thank you, Lacey!) convinced me to download Tinder. Sean: Her plan was to live in the city for just 2 months, but we all know that plans don’t always work out the way we expect. At the time Tinder was the wild west of the 20-something-year-old dating scene but after convincing her I’d make a date worth her while, she said yes. Casey:The night started with drinks at the Hyatt Rooftop Bar, Fahrenheit & ended with dinner and deserts at a restaurant called, Blackfinn. We spent the entire night talking & laughing & getting to know each other. I was absolutely smitten! Sean: The energy in that room was electric, not because the US men’s soccer team had just advanced in the World Cup moments before, but because of her warm, radiant smile as we gazed out over the lights of the city together. Casey: While we were at Blackfinn, waiting for our waitress to bring our food, a song came on in the background. Sean could tell that I knew the song well &, in the middle of the restaurant while everyone else was sitting down enjoying their dinners, Sean asked me for a dance. (Of course I said yes!) Sean: It was right then that I knew I had swept her off her feet, & as cliché as it sounds, I was sure that I had found the love of my life. Casey: It was in that moment that I knew I had found the man of my dreams! Sean: Seven years later, I asked her to be my partner for the rest of our days together Casey: ... of course I said yes! Sean: & we both never looked back!
