Miki Hayashi

Maid of Honor

Miki and I met at Georgia Tech and our friendship started with Miki driving me to our Public Speaking class at Georgia State. We were then roommates all four years of pharmacy school in which we shared many laughs, some cries, and a lot of late nights studying. Miki has become like a sister to me and I am so blessed to have her be my maid of honor.

Andrew McDougal

Best Man

Andrew was fortunate enough to be blessed with a younger brother growing up. It wasn't easy being the oldest, but he played this role well. He never let me "get too big for my britches" - both figuratively and literally with hand-me-downs. Despite fighting as children, we grew into good friends in our adult life and there isn't anyone I would rather have as my best man.

Sydney Finder

Bridesmaid

Sydney is my longest friend. We met in first grade and played with American girl dolls at each other's houses in elementary school. We went through the awkward middle school stages together, attended the 9th grade dance together, attended New Year's celebrations together in undergrad, and became even better friends attending pharmacy school together. Sydney and I have been through all stages of life together, and she has been one of my biggest cheerleaders throughout.

Arthur Legacki

Groomsman

Arthur "the oatmeal annihilator" Legacki has been with me since day 1 in pharmacy school. We lived together for 3 years and have been best friends ever since. Although he might be collecting social security by the time we get married.

Kelly Gamble

Bridesmaid

Kelly and I met at Georgia Tech in our science classes. We then were roommates with Miki for the first two years of pharmacy school. She helped foster my relationship with Steven when we first started dating. Kelly is one of those friends you know will always have your back. She is one of the most loyal friends, and I am so happy to have her in my life as one of my best friends.

Kang Cho

Groomsman

Kang is a day one pharmacy school friend. I could always count on this old man to be down for anything, be it a spontaneous night out or sitting at home and watching terrible horror movies and having pizza (which became a favorite). He also has a pretty cute dog.

Jessica Southerland

Bridesmaid

Jesica and I met in pharmacy school. She was Sydney's roommate when we were all in Athens. We studied together, partied together, and studied some more together. She has one of the sweetest hearts, and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

John Mark Carter

Groomsman

The man with the best hair. John Mark and I grew to know each other during pharmacy and became close friends while I lived in Savannah. He was actually my boss and I knew things would work out when we finally started breaking out the weird karaoke voices to songs on the radio during the carpool to Richmond Hill.

LauraBeth Burns

Bridesmaid

LauraBeth and I were attached to the hip after we met when starting school at Georgia Tech. We both joined Alpha Phi and were instantly friends since we were some of the only sisters to live on West Campus. We were roommates our sophomore year, helped each other through several tough boy situations, and walked each other home after late nights studying or partying. Going through these times together have created a lifelong bond between us.

Kevin Phillipart

Groomsman

Kevin is incredibly extraverted. This was very useful when he essentially adopted me (an introvert) during first year of pharmacy school and dragged me out to be social. We lived together for 2 years during school and grew close during that time. Our love for cheap pizza, breweries, and angsty music bonding us forever.

Lauren Gardner

Bridesmaid

Lauren and I began our friendship as sorority sisters at Georgia Tech. Lauren knows how to make a person laugh, and she knows how to really touch someone's heart. She is very thoughtful, and it shows in her actions all the time!

Ryan Rector

Groomsman

I first met Ryan during undergrad while I was working at the campus fitness center and then noticed him in a few of my classes. We became gym buddies and then took on pharmacy school together. (I believe he was also adopted by Kevin in the same manner I was). Despite all this time we are still great friends.

Katie Fiedler

Bridesmaid

Katie was the mom of our sorority sister friendship group at Georgia Tech. She was always organizing our activities and making sure we were all fed. She is a key reason we have all kept in touch after college, and I am sure will make sure we are all on our best behavior at the wedding!

Matt Whiteman

Groomsman

They say nothing brings people closer than going through hardships together. The 365 days of pharmacy residency we spent together changed us from complete strangers to great friends.

Katie Depping

Bridesmaid

Katie and I were sorority sisters at Georgia Tech. Katie lives life to the fullest and always has a good story to tell. You can't help being entertained around her, and she always made sure there was no normal night out at Georgia Tech. She was the first to get married of our sorority group and has set a great example of married life for Steven and me.

Steven Richardson

Groomsman

Steven and I grew close during pharmacy residency. That year of difficulty definitely changed us from strangers to great friends. Hardships bring people close, but sharing a first name brings them even closer.

Carlie Wilke

Bridesmaid

Carlie and I only met a few months before Steven and I were engaged in Utah for pharmacy residency. We quickly became RBFs (Resident Best Friends) upon moving to Utah and have been through so much together from hard days at work, missing our long distance boyfriends, and fighting off COVID-19. She was sad she missed out on the engagement because she had to work but is excited to be by my side on my wedding day.

Ryan Fitton

Groomsman

If you have ever met Ryan, he is always willing to try new things and make new friends. Out of all of Katie's brothers, we have spent the most time together and he even volunteered to come down to boring old South Georgia to keep me company. Ryan has made me feel welcome in the Fitton family since the very beginning, and I am excited to join the family and officially have him as a brother (and Jack and Drew too!).
