From the Groom: Chloe and I went to the same church for over two years, but never crossed paths. On Easter Sunday of this year, we met each other while serving together at church. I remember Chloe being her normal, bubbly self, trying to strike up conversation. I was focused on serving, and did not say much. During church and after, I could not stop thinking about the woman I just met and how I wanted to get to know her more. The next day I texted her, and within an hour we were sending paragraph text messages back and forth to one another. From the beginning, it was very easy to see how authentic and genuine Chloe is. During our first week of texting, I was joking about being a good judge of character. In typical Chloe fashion she said, “if you're a good judge of character, what is your judgement of me?”. I replied “So far, I think you are one of the most genuine people I have ever met. You have a beautiful soul that stems from your relationship from Christ. You have a servant’s heart. The fact I can say these things about you when I have only known you for a few short days shows your confidence in who you are and your intentionality in sharing your joy with others. I respect your passion for serving others and centering your life around that. You pursue Christ with blind faith, and I admire that. So, I know that is a lot to say when we have literally been texting for a couple of days, but that is how genuine of a person you are. It is easy to see these traits because you portray them naturally, and because of your faith in Christ.”. We went on our first date soon after, and she proved all of my thoughts about her true. We started dating a week later and have never looked back. It was easy to tell from day one that this all was being orchestrated by Christ. The intentionality we showed each other from the beginning was only through His doing. Chloe is the woman of Christ that I have prayed for. My heart longs to endure life’s challenges with her. I cannot thank God enough for the gift of her love, and the opportunity to spend our lives together. I love you, beautiful. Here's to forever! From the Bride: Eric and I went to church together for two years before our story began. I knew who he was because he served on basically every team he could and opened the door for me every Sunday, but never thought anything until one Sunday at church a friend pointed him out to me and said her and her husband kept having dreams of us together! I thought that was interesting and asked questions but still did not think too much about it. On Easter morning, I walked into church to serve at next steps and Eric was there! After having a short conversation at church, Eric texted me the next day. Our texts quickly became paragraphs to which we texted in paragraphs for days until Eric asked me on a date. Since that first date, we have been inseparable and have become the best of friends! From the start I have been amazed at the way Eric has treated me. He has exceeded every prayer I have prayed for a husband and has been everything (& more) my friends and family have said I needed! I would wait 10x over knowing he was at the end of the waiting! From the start, Eric has told me ”it will only keep getting better” and I am not sure how that has continued to be true, but it only continues to get better! I have always wondered if I would find someone I genuinely want to be with every day (cause your girl loves her alone time!) but Eric’s presence brings me so much comfort, peace, and joy! Eric is a loving servant, a gentle leader, the most patient man I know, respectful, faithful, a provider, a protector, and builds me up like no other. He has led our relationship with Christ at the center in every step which has been building a beautiful and firm foundation for our marriage. Becoming Eric’s wife is such an honor, and my heart is filled with gratitude knowing that God has given us the gift of one another to build a life together. All glory be to God!
