We got engaged last summer in August on a little beach in Portland, Maine. We were starting our wedding planning journey when we got some unfortunate news regarding an illness Chris's mother had been fighting. Having her be a part of our day was so important to us; we simply couldn't picture it without her. So, in a little under five weeks, we planned a wedding! We got married at a little pear and apple orchard in Winthrop, Maine on October 22nd, 2022. We had a small group of family and friends there, and the love we felt that day still leaves us speechless. Seth was our officiant, and his love and humor made our ceremony even more special. Although we wish we could have had all of the people we love there to celebrate (and tear up the dance floor!) with us, we wouldn't have changed a single moment from that day. We have put some photos under the gallery tab so people who could not attend can see some of our favorite moments that our amazing photographer captured. Chris's mother was beautiful; she got to dance with her son and her smile never left her face. She has since lost her battle with cancer, and we find ourselves looking at those photos often; remembering her happiness from that day and from so many others before that. Because of the expedited wedding planning process, some of the traditional pre-wedding events were forgone. Although it was expedited we would not change the timeline of events; it was exactly the way it was meant to be! In the spirit of tradition, our lovely family has offered to host a post-wedding "sprinkle" in honor of our marriage. We, again, cannot express our gratitude enough for the amount of support and love we have received throughout the course of our relationship and especially over these last few months as we start our journey together in marriage. We love you all.
