How We Met

February 28, 2020

It's all Shelby's fault. Shelby is a mutual friend - of Jordan's for over 10 years, of Tanner's for more than 7. Strangely, Tanner and Jordan never knew about the other until one providential day in February 2020. Shelby set them up. After texting for a week, they met for the first time at a coffee shop in Lone Tree. While only intending to talk for an hour or so, they shut down the coffee shop and decided to have dinner. Hacienda was packed. Chipotle would suffice. Continuing their conversation, they shut down Chipotle and moved the conversation to Coldstone Creamery. Ice cream in hand, they took a walk in a Home Depot parking lot before finally calling it a night... five and half hours later! Tanner wasn't sure Jordan was interested, but asked for a second date anyway. Meanwhile, on her way home, Jordan excitedly called her sister thinking that Tanner could be the one!

Our Engagement Story

December 12, 2020

Tanner and Jordan headed into Pike National Forest with grand expectations of bringing a jolly, fresh-cut, Christmas tree home. Fresh snow had fallen the night before making the forest a wonderful place to be. After a bit of off roading, they ventured into the woods examining multiple trees, deciding that none were quite right. As the sun broke through the clouds, Jordan spotted the most perfect tree glistening on a hillside. Because this was Tanner's first time actually cutting a Christmas tree down, he brought a tripod so they could have the whole operation filmed. Little did Jordan know that he was strategically placing the camera to capture their engagement. Side note: Tanner doesn't put ornaments on his Christmas trees. Back to the glistening tree on the hillside. With the camera positioned and recording, Tanner told Jordan that he brought an ornament to hang on their first tree together. Jordan waited impatiently, her back toward Tanner, for the ornament to be hung. Upon turning around, she noticed a sparkly sliver bell with an even sparklier diamond ring tied to it! Joyfully shocked, Jordan turned to Tanner who was on one knee declaring his love and and asking her to marry him! She, of course, said yes!
