Fourteen years. That’s the duration of the journey we have embarked on together. Our love story began on a chilly February evening in 2008 when destiny intervened, bringing us together at "Dunkin Donuts" in the captivating town of North Easton, Massachusetts. Admittedly, this account represents the family-friendly rendition of our tale. As one of us was a student and the other a recent graduate, we anticipated that our love story would endure for a mere month, not fourteen years. As time went on, Andrew relocated to New York, and it would be several years before our paths serendipitously crossed once more. As the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. In May of 2010, our lives were forever changed (in the most amazing way possible). A birthday weekend brought Andrew back to the area, and what started as a casual Facebook message blossomed into our love story. "Let's meet before you depart for New York," is what changed our lives forever and led us to a dinner at Bertucci's. We were adamant in our desire to see each other again, and so we did! Over the next few years, we saw each other on a monthly basis; gradually realizing that we had stumbled upon something truly extraordinary, something worth fighting for. It took four arduous years of traversing Greyhound buses and Amtrak trains before we established roots and began our lives as a family in the city of Hoboken, New Jersey (arguably the finest city in the world). Though both of us harbored reservations about moving in together, a sense of certainty assured us that we were exactly where we were meant to be. The initial year whizzed by. We made new friendships, and shared new experiences. We started to blend our families together—we became the true Modern Family. In June of 2015, our pride and joy, Gryffin, entered the picture, expanding our family unit. We’re lucky he’s still with us today. In January 2023, we moved into our very first house with a yard. Again we made new friendships and had new experiences. As more time went on, the question of "when will you two actually tie the knot?" kept coming up. Initially, our plans entailed a wedding in 2020, but then the world ground to a halt. Amidst the chaos, one constant remained unwavering: our love for one another. And so, here we are today. Life seldom unfolds precisely as one envisions; at times, it surpasses even our own expectations. Paso a paso, our journey continues.
