We met on Hinge and on our second date, at the peak of a hike, Mark asked me what I was looking for. I responded, "to meet people" while he said, "a long-term relationship." Luckily, he had the right idea. COVID-19 physically separated us for a while, but when we reunited, I made him fresh fettuccine alfredo and the rest is history.
The night before, Mark asked if we could go on a sunset hike the next day to our special spot. Suspicious. As we watched a movie, I saw a email from OpenTable on his phone. Mark making a reservation? Even more suspicious. That morning, he must have confirmed the timing of the hike at least 10 times. T-2 hours before the hike he says "I have to run an errand before the hike" and returns with a cooler bag I'm not allowed to look inside of. At the end of the hike, in a nervous attempt to distract me, he told me to count the cell towers in the distance. As I turned around, he was down on one knee, I burst into tears, and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Austin!
