We matched on Hinge and were excitedly planning our first date at Spicy Moon, a vegan Chinese restaurant in NYC (we were already bonding over our shared interest in vegetarian cuisine). While trying to pick a day to meet for dinner, we realized we were both busy on the upcoming Wednesday because we were both attending the same philosophy book club meeting in Central Park! That was the first time we met and we went on our first of many dinner dates the day after.

After nearly two years of dating, we went on a birdwatching trip in northwest Central Park. Sam proposed to Sydney by the water, and we spent the rest of the afternoon smiling, walking around, and eating Belgian waffles (a favorite of ours!).
