They have a flat fee and you pay before getting in. Please have cash exchanged already as they do not accept cards. For Ubers you will have to exit the airport and order. Hotel shuttles and public buses are also easily accessible. Weather: Daily high temperatures are around 81°F, low temperatures are around 62°F. In other words, perfect weather! Travel Note

What’s the Best Area to Stay in Puerto Vallarta?

In order to accommodate all of our guests' various preferences and budgets, we encourage you to stay at the hotel or Airbnb of your choosing. There are five main zones: The Marina Zone This hotel zone is a large one with a variety of different types of accommodations—everything from resorts to condos to hotel chains that cater to more short term stays. The Marina Zone encompasses the actual Marina Vallarta, which is full of restaurants, boutiques, spas, hair salons and golf courses. The Hotel Zone The Hotel Zone is where you’ll find most of Puerto Vallarta’s all-inclusive hotels and big resorts. If you want a more traditional beach vacation on a large property, then the Hotel Zone is it. This area also has the biggest concentration of shopping malls and popular chain stores. Downtown Downtown runs south of the Hotel Zone to the Rio Cuale. Most properties are on the smaller side, with plenty of traditionally styled and locally owned hotels. If you don’t like huge resorts and want more of a local feel then this is where to stay in Puerto Vallarta. You’ll find an assortment of restaurants, street food, shopping and practically everything, just steps from the beach. Zona Romantica Situated south of the Rio Cuale, the Romantic Zone or "old town" is known for its cobblestone streets and historic buildings. This neighborhood is full of smaller, budget friendly hotels, boutique hotels, and condos. It has the highest concentration of restaurants and bars in all of Puerto Vallarta. Which means it's very fun—but can be a bit loud at times; bars can sometimes close at 4am, and clubs even later. The South Zone If you are looking for a quieter, relaxing vacation, then this might be the best area to stay in Puerto Vallarta. This area is known for it’s stunning coastline and spectacular views as it runs along the coastal Highway 200 that goes south towards Mismaloya. Here you’ll find some of the most luxurious and secluded resorts in all of PV.
