It was a typical rainy day in Seattle on Friday, September 25. For those that knew about the planned proposal that night, there was a fair amount of anxiety - especially from the proposer. Peter had formulated a plan to take Taylor out on a casual "date night" on the Kirkland waterfront and propose with a beautiful sunset in the background. But as the day went on, that "beautiful" sunset was looking more grey and wet. For some reason, Seattle decided that night was going to be special. Right before the two arrived in Kirkland, the clouds literally parted and the elusive, beautiful Seattle sunset decided to make an appearance. Taylor was completely surprised when Peter grabbed her and said, "I can't wait any longer" and got down on one knee. Taylor of course said, "YES". It was only after the fact that Taylor thought Peter was talking about the need to find a bathroom. A part of the formulated plan was Peter's savvy move to ask a photographer to be there to capture the moment. He did an amazing job hiding in plain sight and captured moments Taylor and Peter will cherish for a lifetime. The rest of the night was filled with tears, cheers, and Facetimes with Taylor and Peter's favorite people.

One year later, Taylor and Peter will say "I do" in Priest Lake, Idaho. The two can't wait to celebrate with family and friends in September!
