How'd We Get To This Point? A "Wise Choice"

November 9, 2012

Andre and I were co-workers and eventually became friends. Then, a day that changed our lives, one that we both will never forget. I (Felicia) was having a bad morning. I was crying and nobody at work could figure out why. Andre began questioning other co-workers asking: "What's wrong with Felicia." Still, to no avail. l remember hearing Andre say: "I have to make this right". Later that day, yellow friendship flowers were delivered to me at my office. In that moment, it gave me hope that good men still exist. From that day forward, Andre' and I became inseparable. We often had long conversations. Those long conversations began to take place on long walks on the Greenway. This is where we shared our very first kiss. It is ironic that we met and worked for a company called "Wise Choice". Since being in a relationship, Andre' and I have made "WISE CHOICES". We chose to blend our children, our family - "Wise Choice". Through thick and thin, ups and downs, ins and outs, we worked together to "make it right" not perfect, but right - "Wise Choice". Ultimately, life has led us to this day, choosing one another to spend the rest of our lives together - Wise Choice.

The Marriage Box

Most people get married believing a myth: "Marriage" is a Beautiful Box full of all the things they have longed for: Companionship, Intimacy, Friendship, etc. The truth is, "Marriage", at the start, is an EMPTY box. You must put something in, before you can take anything out. There is no Love in Marriage, Love is in the people, People put Love in Marriage. There is no romance in Marriage, it has to be infused into the Marriage. A couple must learn the art and form the habit of Giving, Loving, Serving and Praising. Keeping the box full. If you take out more than you put in, the box will be.... EMPTY!

Love Is A Perfect Bond Of Union. ~Col. 3:14~

Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, Does not behave indecently, Does not look for its own interest Does not become provoked, It does not keep account of the injury It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, Love never fails. ~1 Corinthians 13:4-8~

Say You Won't Let Go

I met you in the dark You lit me up You made me feel as though I was enough We danced the night away We drank too much I held your hair back when You was throwing up Then you smiled over your shoulder For a minute I was stone-cold sober I pulled you closer to my chest And you asked me to stay over I said, I already told ya I think that you should get some rest I knew I loved you then You'd never know Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go, I knew I needed you But I never showed But I wanna stay with you, until we're grey and old Say you won't let go Just say you won't let go I wake you up with some Breakfast in bed I'll bring you coffee With a kiss on your head I'll take the kids to school Wave them goodbye And I'll thank my lucky stars, for that night When you looked over your shoulder For a minute I forget that I'm older I wanna dance with you right now, And you look as beautiful as ever And I swear that every day you get better You make me feel this way somehow I'm so in love with you And I hope you know Darling, your love is more than worth its weight in gold We've come so far, my dear Look how we've grown And I wanna stay with you Until we're grey and old Just say you won't let go Just say you won't let go I wanna live with you Even when we're ghosts Cause You were always there for me When I needed you most I'm gonna love you 'til My lungs give out I promise 'til death we part Like in our vows So I wrote this song for you Now everybody knows That it's just you and me Until we're grey and old Just say you won't let go just say you won't let go just say you won't let go just say you won't let go ~James Arthur~
