Yes it is true, Jake and Lacey met online. Jake was living in Encinitas working on his degree in Respiratory Therapy and Lacey had recently moved to Orange County to work for OneLegacy, an Organ Procurement Organization. Lacey actually didn't answer his message right away as she was so scared to actually meet anyone after talking online. After talking for over 3 months, Lacey asked if Jake wanted to go to Padres game. Well, for everyone that knows Jake, this was a very big deal. Jake is probably the biggest Padres fan of all time so that fact that a girl wanted to go to a baseball game really made him smile. It was a perfect San Diego day for a baseball game. They watched the game and then ended up walking up and down Seaport Village until they headed to Los Olas Mexican Restaurant and continued to talk the night away.
