We're getting Married!

We met thru a mutual friend on January 26, 2014! Immediately we connected and found each other inseparable. You know that feeling you have when you just know there is something special there, you look into each other's eyes and automatically think the same things, finish each other's sentences and even start doing the same stuff without even thinking about it, well that is us! To go from loving someone so much and knowing that this is the person you will want to spend the rest of your life time with and not even thinking twice about it. Yes we've had our trials and tribulations but we always come out strong and with a better understanding of each other. It's like we were just meant to be and the lord put us in this path to prove to us that this is us! This will be our life from here on out and we will not allow anyone in the way of our happiness. We share our son Carrson together and he adores his "fishy" so much. Things just keep staying positive for us and we are in love with life itself. We have made so many memories and we look forward to making many more as we continue this walk into marriage! Together the 3 of us will become 1 and we are excited for this new adventure! On June 3, 2017 Felicia surprised me with the proposal! It was really suppose to happen on a different day but things happened and she had to change it up. With the help of her brother, family and friends they put this proposal together in less than 24 hours. Meantime I'm in the dark not realizing any of this is going on! On the day, we went to SMU at the Moody coliseum where EVERYONE was waiting and hiding, I thought I was going to be seeing some cheer competitions! I walk into the coliseum, Felicia disappears, I'm being escorted to have a sit right in front of where her brothers cheer team is "practicing" and I proceed to watch. At this point I still don't have any clue. They are cheering, chanting and doing a performance to music. They then form a double line and Bruno Mars starts to play, the song was " Just the way you are". After about 2-3 minutes, I see my BFF and her boyfriend walk down followed by all our friends and family holding a single red rose. As you can guess, I figured it out at that moment. About 20 of our closets friends and our family approach me giving me the rose and then at the end of the line there stands my now fiancé! She's so nervous, I'm escorted to her, she gets down on one knee and asks for my hand in marriage! It was such a surprise and such a beautiful moment! She's amazing and I will forever hold onto that memory to replay in my head over and over again. 💜 -Valerie
