We've opted for a very small ceremony and a wedding party to match.  We each chose one of our favorite people to stand up with us on our big day. 
Maid of honor- Jessica
Jessica is my best friend from childhood, more or less family.  We met when we were 8 and 9 years old and just never left each other's side.  I've joked before that she's my soul mate, we just "get" each other.  
Best man- Mike 
Mike is Chris's older brother.  Despite some sibling rivalry growing up, they both shared a love of "nerdy things".  Mike has lived out of state for many years now, but they always seem to pick up where they left off.
