We met on the Track and Field team at Wheaton College in 2017 when Andrew was a Freshman and Favor was a Sophomore. We did not talk much, but Andrew always had his eyes on his Favor. He recalls seeing her at track practice and being immediately drawn to her beauty and joy for life. Our friendship began after we had a Geology lab together in the Fall of 2018. Andrew could not take his eyes off of Favor but definitely carried Favor to an A in the lab. During the conclusion of our track season in 2019, we began hanging out with our good friends and spending time together which made both Favor and Andrew wonder if there could be something there. That summer Andrew traveled to Estonia on a service mission trip while Favor returned to Boston to work. Both of us spent time thinking about each other and looking forward to being together in the Fall. Favor remembers praying and fasting about Andrew as she could not shake the feeling that Andrew could be her husband. She kept praying that if this was so that God would perfect it in his timing and lead Andrew to pursue her. Fall of 2019 arrived and both us were captains on the Wheaton Track team. After spending time together, Andrew asked Favor out to dinner by knocking on her door at midnight. Following a couple of dates, Favor decided that she wanted to continue with just friendship with Andrew. But Andrew decided that he would patiently wait, hoping and praying things would change. And things did. Favor approached Andrew again in January of 2021 expressing the feelings she still had for Andrew. In that moment, after 9 months apart, Andrew could not reciprocate the feelings. Finally the saga came to an end at a track and field game night where Andrew and Favor spent a few minutes talking. Immediately, Andrew realized that she was the woman he loved and prayed for despite the time and distance apart. By April of 2021 God brought us back together and we knew that it was for good!

Besides our numerous Facetime dates, we love exploring new authentic food places. Sometimes it goes well for us, other times it usually ends with a Chick-fil-a run where Favor can feed her addiction to french fries. We also love playing games and connecting with friends (spikeball, card games, etc). We enjoy adventuring to new places in the city and cooking fun new recipes we find on the internet.

We are both passionate about the work of the Church in marginalized communities and participating in the racial and communal justice that is ongoing in the community through education and ministry. We also share a deep passion for leading and discipling young people and we are excited and open to how the Lord chooses to use us.
