Things To Do
Stony Brook Village or Port Jefferson Village
Depending on where you're staying these are both great options for breakfast and nice to walk around. Stony Brook Village is right across from our venue. There's a breakfast place called Crazy Beans that looks a little silly but the food is good and the coffee is great! Port Jefferson has a little more going on and it's a nice place to walk on the water and watch the ferry come and go. The Steam Room is a good lunch spot if you're in the mood for seafood. You can sit outside with a bucket of steamers and take in the views of the harbor.
West Meadow Beach
This is the local beach on the long island sound. It's a little rocky so we would recommend water shoes or something similar. Faith has been going here her whole life! It's great for a swim or a picnic and if the timings right, the sunset is incredible.
Avalon Nature Preserve
This is where the Cochran family does our pre-thanksgiving run! It's a beautiful nature preserve if you're looking to do an easy hike or run!
The Jazz Loft
This place hosts live Jazz all weekend!
McAllister County Park
Explore what we call Pirates Cove! Climb the dunes down to the sound or hand out on the harbor side. Bring your bathing suit!
