We met at UCF through the best man, Jamar and my teammate, Kalen. That night Marcus, Kalen, and a few other friends and I went bowling, hung out and that was the end of it. So, I thought! A few months go by and Marcus contacted me through Instagram. We started talking, became really good friends and somewhere down the line we fell in love. The rest was history and here we are today!

Marcus came to visit me for Valentine’s Day, since this would be our first time being together for this holiday. He made reservations at a restaurant on the water, and I had no clue, initially, that I would walk away that night engaged. Once we were seated, I did notice he was acting a little strange, but I didn’t think too much into it. After dinner, he ordered “dessert” without me knowing. Apparently, he had our waiter take the ring and create the surprise for me. They brought out the key lime pie, my favorite, and right as I was about to take a bite, the waiter placed the covered ring in front of me, made the big reveal and cued the waterworks. Best Valentine’s Day ever!!!
