Fahad & Raniya initially crossed paths on Instagram back in May 2017. Fahad, thinking he was the epitome of cool, decided to slide into her DMs (classic move). Throughout college, their conversations were always friendly but stayed firmly at the surface level. This pattern persisted for a whopping five years. In that time, they coincidentally bumped into each other only twice: once at Masjid AL Quran (Fahad was on the hunt for his Ammu), and then again at Ghareeb Nawaz on Devon Ave (clearly, they both have impeccable taste). During these two chance meetings, they managed to learn a little more about each other, but a deep dive into their lives never quite materialized. Until, that is, the magical month of Ramadan in April 2022, when they rekindled their connection on Snapchat (thanks, Snapchat). This time around, Fahad and Raniya delved into meaningful conversations via snaps and texts. Fahad, seizing the moment, finally orchestrated their first date. The evening unfolded with Fahad planning a cultural extravaganza in downtown Milwaukee at the Saint Kate Fine Arts hotel, where they explored paintings. This artistic prelude was followed by a romantic Iftaar Dinner at Casablanca on Brady (once again, displaying excellent taste). Sparks flew on that first date, and both of them sensed that something special was in the air. They began uncovering their shared love for experiences and adventures, eventually receiving blessings from their families to take their relationship to the next level. Over the next year and a half, their adventures continued — from indulging in Bengali and Hyderabadi cuisines to exploring their joint interests in fashion and culture, and even tackling the intricacies of the Bengali & Urdu language. The joy they found in simply learning from one another strengthened their bond. The couple always discovered common ground, and they are both grateful for the chance to embark on the sacred journey of marriage, seeking Allah's blessings and guidance. One of the most memorable moments occurred last April when Fahad orchestrated a delightful "spring photoshoot." Little did Raniya know, it was more than just a photoshoot – Fahad surprised her with a proposal in beautiful downtown Milwaukee, catching her completely off guard! And so, their real adventure begins...
