We are so excited to celebrate with you. We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the details of our wedding, and most importantly, a digital RSVP manager. As our plans develop we will update the schedule for the event, venue directions, hotel block details, travel tips, things to do in the area, & more. You can also read background stories on us and our relationship, as well as the wedding party joining us up at the altar, so you can get acquainted before the big event! We’d love for you to click the site menu options above, and take a look around to learn more about our wedding day plans. Check back here again for updates and answers to your questions. And don’t forget to RSVP! Thanks so much for all of your love and support so far! We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of our favorite people.
They worked at a restaurant together and that is the reason they chose #evanspartyoftwo for their big day. While working together, they became friends. The first conversation was when Katie saw George she immediately went up to him and asked if he liked cookie dough (one of her favorites). The restaurant had cookie dough pre portioned in the freezer. Katie insisted on getting him some to try. That is when their friendship began. About a year later, George only had his learners permit at the time and his mom (who worked with them also) needed him to run an errand. Donna asked Katie to ride with him so she could stay at work. It was that day that they exchanged numbers and began the the first chapter of their "Cook Dates Waitress" romance. And the rest is history.........
They went on a long weekend trip to explore places in Virginia that were on their bucket list. This was actually the first weekend of the Covid-19 shutdowns. Everything public they had planned had to be canceled, so they were forced to stick to only the nature trails. Hump Back Rock was the first destination, they spent the day hiking and enjoying the nature surrounding them. The next day they went to the Natural Bridge and it was very beautiful and peaceful. Katie had no idea what George planned. Right under the Natural Bridge George stopped for "water" and got down on one knee and pulled out a diamond ring. He asked her to marry him and she said YES!
