Question

What are we doing about COVID-19?!

Answer

Our friends and family are our favorite people in the world, and your health and safety is of course our number one priority. We are working closely with our venue and planner to ensure all possible measures are enacted to keep everyone safe! The ceremony and cocktail hour will occur outside in the courtyard, with dinner and dancing inside. However, the courtyard will remain open for the entire evening for those who wish to take advantage (we’ll have a tent and heat lamps in the event of inclement or chilly weather!). Additionally, there are large accordion doors leading to the courtyard that we will keep folded back / open during the reception to get maximum fresh air indoors and still make the courtyard feel like part of the celebration! All servers and bartenders will wear masks and gloves, and Cannon Green already has several hand sanitizing stations set up throughout the venue. Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions/concerns!

How will the dinner portion of the evening work?

Answer

Dinner will consist of four different stations, each with their own cuisine/meal available. Don't worry, you can have some of each... no need to choose just one! Each station will be staffed with servers (wearing masks and gloves) who will be directly placing the food items onto each persons' clean plate. Please bring a mask for when you are being served. Also, stationed style makes it more casual so feel free to take your plates and eat outside in the courtyard or whatever makes you the most comfortable!

Is the welcome event inside or outside?

UPDATE! The Welcome Event will now be outside at Uptown Social. The area is called "The Lot" and is next to the Uptown Social building (to the right when you are facing the building). You should see us outside and there will be a sign out front!

Is there parking at the welcome event?

Answer

We definitely recommend walking or grabbing an Uber/ Lyft to Uptown Social; however, there is a paid public parking lot at the Hyatt Place hotel right across the street for those who wish to drive!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is semi-formal. Think cocktail dresses or jumpsuits for the ladies and suits for the gentlemen.

Are kids welcome?

Only those listed on the formal invitation are able to RSVP. While we love your little ones, all wedding events are adult-only so that everyone can celebrate to the fullest (and latest) extent possible!

Only if the formal invitation you receive is addressed to yourself plus a guest.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding starts promptly at 4pm, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior.

How should we get to the venue?

Answer

We recommend using Uber/Lyft or walking depending on how close you are staying to Cannon Green. The hotel blocks reserved are roughly 1 mile away.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available in a neighboring lot on the corner of Rutledge and Spring streets, however, we do encourage using Uber/Lyft to travel to the venue. An attendant will be located at the lot to assist with parking.

Oh no! I've had too much to drink and can't drive home, what should I do?!

Answer

No worries! You are welcome to leave your car in the lot overnight, but please don't forget it!
