Question

Wait, didn't you guys already get married?

Answer

We did! We got married at the "Chapsicle of Love" (a giant chapstick sculpture that an ordained artist named Jerry Carlson was performing everything from legal marriages to declarations of joyful singlehood at), during the Art Shanty Projects festival. Eva created one of the other shanties (the magical petting zoo you may remember from when you saw a picture of it ten seconds ago on the front page for our wedding website), and we went on our first date at Art Shanties, so it seemed too serendipitous to pass up. It was a magical and joyful ceremony, but it was never meant to replace our July wedding at Silverwood Park. We are, and always have been, excited to celebrate our love with our friends and family this summer, and we can't wait to see you there!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever makes you feel good! Fancy gowns and comfort clothing are both welcome. If you prefer not to match the bride/groom, avoid pairing green and pink together. (On the other hand, if you want to coordinate really well with the decor, go for it!)

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are rooms being held for our wedding guests at three hotels in Roseville. There is more about that on the Hotel and Travel page! There are also lots of AirBnbs and hotels in the Twin Cities area at various price points. Consider staying in St. Anthony to be close to the venue, or in Minneapolis for a city experience! Some cool neighborhoods to consider in Minneapolis are Uptown (urban feel with one lake), Nokomis (peaceful lake vibes), Seward (artsy area, where Dan and Eva live!), and Northeast (medium urban, also artsy).

Question

What's this about shadow puppets and s'mores?

Answer

There will be an interactive shadow puppet theater where guests will be able to dance or pose behind the curtain for a unique photo opportunity, or create their own shadow puppet shows with an exciting assortment of puppets. There is an outdoor fireplace at our venue, and we will have a variety of s'mores supplies (including vegan and gluten free options) for anyone who wants to end their night with a delicious and nostalgic treat! Other activities will include dancing and music (including some original music by Dan!), and, of course the tried and true wedding favorites: eating and drinking.
