Things To Do
Angel Rocks Trailhead
One of the best trails around town. It's just over a four mile loop with some steeper inclines. You can also brave the nine mile route that runs from the Angel Rocks Trailhead out to Chena Hot Springs, just make sure you have a ride to meet you on the other end! *Please remember to carry bear spray with you when hiking around Fairbanks, even on the more popular trails!
Chena Hot Springs Resort
A must after hiking Angel Rocks or make it its own day trip! There's food and accommodations at the lodge for after your soak and if you're lucky you might even see some aurora!
Denali National Park and Preserve
If you have the time, Denali National Park, located just over two hours to the west of Fairbanks, is absolutely worth the drive. Whether you take the 42 mile bus tour into the park, check out the hiking trails it has to offer, or simply drive out to experience the beauty of the park, we highly recommend this to those of our guests who are able. We love the Savage River Trail(s) as well as the Mt. Healy Overlook trail. Make sure to check the parks website for any road or trail closures before you leave!
UAF Trail System
The UAF trail system has miles of beautiful walking paths. We like to start from the Ballaine Lake trailhead, which is linked here.
UA Museum of the North
A great spot to kill an hour or two on the UAF campus. We especially love the art gallery on the second floor.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant
Fairbanks is infamous for its remarkable Thai food - this is our favourite spot in town.

Best pho in town!

Fun trendy spot for a quick bite of breakfast or lunch.
Lavelle's Bistro
Upscale dinner restaurant. Located in the lobby of the Marriott Springhill Suites downtown, great place for dinner and drinks. (Your favourite couple got engaged in this very restaurant!)
Alaska Coffee Roasting Company
Great cafe to sit down and have coffee and lunch. They have pizzas, pre-made salads, and a wide array of baked goods.
Little Owl Café
A fun, trendy option for coffee and small lunch or breakfast fare. Tends to be a bit busy but is also great for takeaway!

Upscale cocktail bar with small plates and fun drinks for our 21 and up friends!
