Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends walking down the aisle with us on the big day!

Ciera Rojas

Maid of Honor

Anita is Ciera's passionate, brilliant and selfless cousin and her first best friend. They are one year apart, and growing up, Ciera would always copy Anita-- braids, clothes, writing poetry, etc. Ciera looks up to her in so many ways. The memories they have together are endless; from riding in a Barbie jeep, overlapping at NYU, summers in Nantucket, to Anita's dress fitting at Kleinfeld's. Ciera loves Anita with all her heart and is ecstatic to stand by her side as a Maid of Honor.

Emma Rojas

Maid of Honor

Growing up, Ani would always help Emma with her homework and essays (and make sure Emma was doing said schoolwork). Anita has been more to a cousin than Emma since birth- another older sister. Every summer in high school Anita would pick Emma up and they'd eat ice cream for breakfast, listen to new music mash-ups, and stay up until 4:00 AM. They've each come a long way since those days! Emma is honored to stand by Anita's side as a co-maid of honor on the big day!

Alexandra Tse

Bridesmaid

Alex met Anita during their freshman year at NYU, inside the Rubin dining hall on a cold day around the time that Alex sprained her ankle for the first time. Meeting Anita was like stepping outside to be kissed by the sun after years in hibernation. Alex quickly fell hard for her soon-to-be life/travel partner and best friend forever. Anita, soon after, invited Alex back to Carmel to meet her family, and that's when their fate was sealed...Anita and her family welcomed Alex into the fold and watched as the two besties grew weirder and became more inseparable over the years.

Sophie Chen

Bridesmaid

Anita has been in Sophie’s life longer than she hasn’t. Together they are adventure buddies for all seasons, especially the cold ones. She is anxiously awaiting a visit to the big easy from the handsome couple.

Laura Hetzel

Bridesmaid

Laura met Anita at a poetry slam when they were both sophomores at NYU Gallatin and both living in Greenwich Hotel. They kept running into each other and the rest is history, as they say. Laura is blessed to have attended roughly every birthday, graduation, sleepover, etc., ever since.

Leanne Fornelli

Bridesmaid

Leanne met Anita in Critical Race Theory class at Fordham. They sat across from each other. Leanne thought Anita the kindest eyes she'd ever seen. They wouldn’t become “friend-friends” at school. Only “acquaintance friends.” While Leanne was studying for the Bar and after Anita graduated, they met up for dinner. Under a lot of stress and the influence of too much wine, Leanne poured her heart out to Anita about matters of the heart gone awry and found she is an empathetic and trustworthy confidante who is as kind as her eyes are. That’s when they became “friend-friends.” Fate placed Anita and Leanne in a writing group with a mutual friend. This is when Leanne first fell in awe with Anita, and she has remained there ever since. She is thrilled and honored to be part of her wedding party.

Zach Fisch

Bridesman

Zach met Anita in Ms. Linsker's 10th grade English class at Masters in 2010. They were fast friends. Shortly after, Zach convinced Anita to join him on their school newspaper, Tower, where their lifelong bond was forged in the fires of their frequent late-night layout sessions. They remained close through college-- when Anita graciously hosted Zach every time he thought about transferring to NYU-- and law school. She is somehow, not tired of him yet.

Federico Serrano

Bridesman

Anita is like the sister Freddy never had. Their bond is so strong that we can be looking at each other from across a crowded room and know with exact precision what the other is thinking. They share a questionably strange sense of humor, a passion for globetrotting, endless love for Latin America, but most importantly a commitment to always put our friendship above anything else. These past fourteen years would not have been the same without her.

Ben Van Buren

Best Man

Ethan is Ben's brother. They met young. Ethan was always reading, or in the backseat of the car. Sometimes Ben and Ethan stuffed their sweatshirts full of couch pillows and charged at each other over and over until they couldn’t stop laughing. They played video games and watched the Simpsons while eating dollar slices of pizza from Mr. Mikes. Ethan continues to enjoy reading. He came to New York City to go to college just like his big brother who bought him beer and read his paper for a psychology class. Ethan was often quiet when he was young. Sweet, good at listening. He’s always been blonder than Ben.

Natalie Beckwith

Groomswoman

Natalie (Nat) and Ethan met playing soccer when they were in elementary school, then became true friends in middle school bonding over their love of browsing for used CDs, nachos, and musicals. Their friendship has endured great distances and countless life changes for them both. Nat no longer carries a Tide-to-Go pen specifically for when Ethan spills on himself, and she has learned to lay the tortilla chips on the baking sheet with the precision Ethan taught her (to optimize cheese/topping distribution). Even so, some things never change. Nat will be cheering Ethan on always, and is so excited to witness the life he and Anita are building together!

Lucy Kamins

Groomswoman

Let it be known that when Lucy and Ethan met in 2004, Lucy was taller than Ethan. The rest, as they say, is history. In high school they spent afternoons at play rehearsal, devouring countless plates of nachos, goofing around, and always laughing. Over the years their friendship only got stronger, withstanding distance, time, and even the most cutthroat games of bananagrams. Lucy’s most precious memory is the day that Ethan performed her wedding ceremony. Lucy is overjoyed to celebrate Ethan and Anita’s love!

Stephanie Chin

Groomswoman

Ethan and Steph met just days after they both turned 18 on their first day at NYU, and they quickly became best friends, navigating school and new adulthood in the city together. Since then, they've both had countless jobs, apartments, and questionable fashion choices (what a GLOW UP, right??), but some things never change—intensely supporting and debating each other's hot takes, ambitiously over-ordering at restaurants, and holding it down for one another through all seasons of life.

Julie Cole

Groomswoman

Ethan and Julie became close sophomore year of NYU undergrad when they were a few of the friends who elected to live in the West Village dorm. From then on it was all wining and dining escapades throughout the city, discovering everything (well, exclusively food) that the city had to offer. They discovered life changing lentils at the no-longer Carroll Gardens restaurant Take Root. But what never changed is that Ethan is to this day the most charming and easy company.

Kevin Slack

Groomsman

Kevin and Ethan have been close friends since middle school in Burlington, VT where they did school plays together and created the critically-acclaimed morning high school announcements show, BHS Today. After college Kevin moved out to Los Angeles and Ethan soon followed out west as well. They lived together in the worst apartment in the United States of America and Ethan sold natural wine (which is apparently a fancy thing) to fancy restaurants before deciding to make a career change and attend law school at UCLA. At present, they mostly text about stupid sports bets they shouldn't have made.

Ryan Carroll

Groomsman

Ryan met Ethan when Anita unceremoniously brought him to a family birthday party in the Summer of 2019, and then when they lived together at the Carroll House during the first year of the pandemic. Ryan and Ethan have enjoyed playing golf and cooking together.
