We graduated high school together in 2017 but never spoke to each other as we each had different friends groups. Amir likes to say we met in New Orleans on New Year's 2019 since we both HAPPENED to be there for the Sugar Bowl game Texas vs Georgia! It was the first time we actually spoke to each other but we didn’t get together until December of 2020.

Amir and I took a birthday getaway trip in Austin, and while we were there he had planned a couples photoshoot. We had dinner and went out for drinks the day of his birthday. The next day we packed up and headed into the outskirts of Austin which took about 20 minutes. While on the way to the "photoshoot" Amir had to stop a few times which I now know were just a stalling tactics so that our family could set up my proposal. Once we got to our location we walked towards Chapel Dulcinea and Amir's and I's favorite song, "Can't take My Eyes off of You" began playing and I saw a sign that said 'Will You Marry Me." We walked towards the end of the aisle where Amir said a small speech which I can barely remember from being in shock and next thing I know I said "yes" and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in September!
