The Esho Wedding

Mariessa first laid eyes on her husband to be during this amazing man's probate. Little did he know, that this showcase would be for his wife. They met in person a few days later and became official.. facebook friends. Their friendship began and as they got to know each other, they realized there was a different level of comfort and friendship they both felt. Once Mariessa graduated from UC Riverside, they went their separate ways but always checked in on birthdays and holidays. In September of 2018, Michael sent his yearly birthday message to Mariessa. They continued messaging and ended up hanging out in person for the first time in years in November of 2018. Michael had always promised Mariessa to take her to Universal Studios- her love of Harry Potter (shoutout to Hufflepuff) required a trip to the Wizarding World. A few months later, they were officially dating and that was the beginning of their lives together. Michael proposed on July 2, 2021 on his 30th birthday and surprised Mariessa with an engagement party full of their closest friends and family. They had a traditional Nigerian wedding on March 18, 2023 and are celebrating their white dress wedding June 24, 2023.
