We’re getting married!

Michelle and Alex met at her job. She saw Alex there every 3 weeks when he took his dad to doctor visits. Masks were still required at the time, so they never saw each other's faces. They only knew each other's eyes and voices, and to be completely honest, Michelle fell in love with Alex's voice before ever even seeing him. On her last week at the job, Alex came in with his dad. Before he left that morning, Michelle gave him her number on a sticky note. She waited all day - and nothing! No text, no call. Nothing. 10 hours later, Michelle finally got the call she'd been waiting for all day. 3 days later, they went on a date. Alex picked Michelle up from her house, and on the way to dinner, Michelle threatened Alex that he better take her home right after the date and not to think about doing anything crazy, because she had a weapon, and her location was on, so her family knew exactly where she was. During the date, Alex didn't know how to order, or eat, a salad. Every time he tried to eat the salad, he seemed to stab at the salad, and it literally kept flying everywhere! The entire date, from start to finish, was a big fat "NO!". When they finished the date, Michelle couldn't wait to get home and never see him again, and Alex deleted her number and all the text messages between them, because he also never wanted to see her again. But, one week later, Michelle was convinced by her coworkers to give Alex another chance. So she did, and then convinced him to go on a second date. This date was different. It was magical. They laughed so much and had the best time. Everything was different without all the nerves. At the end of the date, Michelle hopped in Alex's truck afterwards and told him, "you're gonna kiss me today. I need to know if we have chemistry....if there's a spark." Alex was hesitant, because she was mocosa/sick. But if you know Michelle at all, you know she's persistent and passionate, and she had her mind set on that kiss. Eventually, he caved in and kissed her. It was what one would call, "pure bliss". One month later, they fell in love and started dating.

We actually had two proposals! The first proposal was at midnight on a Sunday night. Alex had the ring with him all weekend, and decided after church that day that he was not going back home that night with the ring. It was Sunday at midnight. We were in bed. I, Michelle, had already taken my sleep meds, so I was ready to go night night, but Alex insisted that we "just talk." As half asleep as I was, I agreed to keep chatting. He went on and on about how much he loved me, but I didn't think anything of it since that wasn't out of the norm for him to do. Finally, he did what was the most authentic to him, came to my side of the bed, got down on one knee and popped the question. Everyone was asleep, so I couldn't scream or anything or else I'd wake everyone up. But it was so special just the two of us in that big moment. Alex knew he wanted Jon to be there, so he felt terrible that he couldn't wait any longer. Which leads us to the second proposal. Jon was finally home from being at his dad's for the weekend, and the following night, Alex snuck Jon outside and surprised him with my ring. Jon was speechless! They planned a whole proposal in the back patio in about 3 minutes. It was dark and the patio was lit with beautiful lights. Jon was in charge of bringing me to the "surprise." And even though this was planned, it still felt like a genuine proposal, because it was. I got excited all over again like it was the first time, because it was the first time--with Jon. Jon grabbed my hand and lead me outside where Alex popped the question, again! The most magical down-to-earth proposals I could have ever asked for.
