Clarissa is the brides older sister, and her favorite memory was convincing Christina that a bowl of guac was actually green frosting when Christina was only five. Maybe that’s why her favorite color is green? Clarissa lives in San Antonio, Texas with her son, Noah, two dogs, Lenny and Tater Tot, and her adorable little kitty named Fish. Clarissa has an unparalleled eye for thrifting and antiquing, and loves curling up with her fur babies while enjoying a good psychological thriller! Clarissa can’t wait to celebrate her little sisters big day and welcome Ernie to the family!

Best Woman
Julia is the grooms older sister, and since Ernie was the Maid of Honor at her wedding it's only fair that she is the Best Man at his. She and her husband Tim live in Haymarket with her mother, grandmother, and their four cats. (It's not as crowded as it sounds.) She can't wait to celebrate her new sister Christina, who is way cooler than anyone else in the family.

Brianna is Christina’s Matron of Honor. Brianna met Christina during her freshman year at Texas State through her boyfriend and now husband, Marcos. He knew they would hit it off because they were both nerds, and as it turns out he was right! Christina and Brianna bonded immediately over their shared interest in Harry Potter, and it did not take much for Brianna to convince the bride to join the Quidditch team with her. Over the years, Brianna and Christina’s relationship has blossomed over late nights goofing off, lunches with friends, sleep overs, trips to the zoo, late nights dancing to emo music, and so many more memories. Since Christina has moved away, their friendship has remained strong and when reunited in person, it’s like nothing has changed- they fall right back into it! Brianna is so excited to share in Christina’s joy on her special day and celebrate the love and happiness between Christina and Ernie.

Julie Ortiz

Julie is the proud eldest sister of the bride, and although she is the oldest sibling, she still looks up to her younger siblings…literally! Julie resides in San Antonio where she works as an editor and photographer, enjoying everything from music and traveling to paddle boarding and kayaking. In her free time Julie loves going on adventures with her two children, Rachel and Shiloh, and her two adorable fur babies Berry and Koi. Although one of Julie’s favorite memories of the bride was pranking her as a child i.e. The Avocado Incident, her most treasured memory is taking a sisters trip to Seattle with Clarissa, and Christina. Julie is looking forward to making more memories this year celebrating Christina and Ernie’s love.

Nathan Moore
Bridesman
Nathan Moore is a bridesman who first met Christina at a Texas State Quidditch meeting all the way back in 2011. Nathan is a privacy and data security lawyer in Austin, Texas and loves learning about tech. He is also an incredible cook and loves nothing more than perusing different markets and cooking something up with friends. One of Nathan’s favorite memories of the bride and groom was ringing in the New Year with homemade pizzas, movies, and a personalized tour of the Federal Loop in DC from Ernie. You can catch Nathan and Christina nerding out to things like Anime, Harry Potter, and probably watching Spirited Away while making homemade lasagna.

Laura Villareal
Bridesmaid
Laura and Christina have been friends since 2011. Over the years, she has benefited from Christina’s dislike of avocado by always being willing to eat it when Christina orders food that comes with it. Now, after all these years, it seems clear that the bride’s dislike of avocado likely dates back to being tricked by her older sister (see Clarissa’s bio). Laura’s favorite memory with Christina and Ernie was visiting the couple’s home in Virginia and making homemade pizzas with them. Even though she is Toast the Ghost’s aunt, visit to the couple’s house did not remain free of hauntings by the infamous Toast the Ghost. She has known Chicken Strip since he was Lilith and is happy to see him grow into a very cuddly elder cat. She enjoys eating food made by Nathan (see Nathan's bio), petting Christina’s cats Toast and Chicken Strip, and a secret third thing. Her hobbies include remaining elusive.

Joaquin Ramon
Ring Bearer
Joaquin is the bride’s super cute nephew and ring bearer. Joaquin is almost 2 years old and loves running, being silly, high-fiving people, making dinosaur noises, and making new friends. Joaquin might be shy when you first meet him, but he warms up! Joaquin loves his auntie, Christina, and hopefully can be the best and cutest ring bearer for her!
