We have spoken to our venue, and even with the vaccines starting to be distributed, we are expecting there will continue to be capacity restrictions. At this time, we need to decrease our guest count. Please understand this is a difficult decision for us and we hope as we get closer, we will know more and can include our original guest list.
We met through friends at work but got to know each other at happy hours, white water rafting, and beach trips. I thought it was pretty obvious I was into him but alas it took him two months to finally ask me out and another month to ask me to be his girlfriend. Throughout the next four years, Tommy would move in with my roommate, Cat, and I, become a kitten dad to Ellie and Emmy, we would get our own place, and adopt our sweet boys, Nash and Jackson. I couldn't imagine my life without him and I can't wait to see where we're headed.
It began one weekend when we were watching my mom's dogs. Tommy organized a trip to Chanticleer Garden with our old roommate, Cat, and her boyfriend Colin. Now I'm not going to lie, I had a pretty good feeling that something big was going to happen as Tommy rarely makes plans. We prepared with "stealing" some champagne from my mom's fridge and some orange juice for a little picnic. The four of us walked around the grounds, all the while he was thinking of where to propose and I was thinking about how to say yes. We found this beautiful sunflower lined path that happened to have no one around. Cat took Tommy's phone for pictures and as we posed, he got down on one knee. I don't remember much of what he said or if I even said yes. The only thing I could think of was squealing and giving him a kiss. We drank some mimosas and just enjoyed the moment. What made the day even better was Tommy surprised me with a lunch surrounded by our family and close friends, including my mom who was "away" (even though Nash almost gave her away). I couldn't imagine a more perfect day!
