Hotel
This is the venue for the wedding and events, as well as where the bridal parties and immediate family will be staying. We have a limited number of additional rooms available, please reach out to us for details if interested.
Hotel
The hotel is directly across the street and less than a 5 minute drive from Borgo Stomennano. We have a limited number of rooms reserved for our guests until March 15th. The hotel offers rate options that are both refundable and non-refundable, and will be offering our guests a discounted rate. Please contact them directly to book and mention the Citti-Yonan wedding.
Flight
Italy has many airport options, Florence and Pisa airports are the closest to the venue, however there are less flight options available from Los Angeles and we have found better pricing and shorter trips through Rome. (We also had so much fun exploring Rome for a few days on our trip, so we would consider it a must-go if you have time!)
Train
Traveling by high-speed train is the easiest (we think!) and most cost-effective way to get around Italy! We used Italo, which connects Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, and Naples. All trains offer Wi-Fi and multiple class/fare levels.
Shuttle
October 11, 2023 2:00 pm - 12:00 am
A shuttle will be available to all guests staying at Borgo dé Brandi for the Welcome Dinner, Wedding Ceremony, and Brunch. The exact times are TBC.
Rental Car
We highly recommend that all of our guests rent a car (or share with another group) as there are no taxis or Ubers in the Monteriggioni area. There is ample parking available on-site at both properties. If flying or traveling by train into Florence before the wedding, we recommend picking up the car there at the end of your stay as driving around the city is difficult due to permitted/restricted areas. There are rental car options both in the city center and at the airports, our recommendations vary by your travel plans before and after so please reach out to us with any questions.
Travel Note
Most gas stations have attendants from 8 am to 12:30 pm and then from 3:30 to 7:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. Usually when the attendant is there you simply fuel up your car and then pay the attendant by cash or card. Most stations also have a self-service option, but there will be one machine per row of pumps (you don’t pay at the pump). You insert your money and then select the right pump number. These machines rarely accept American-issued debit or credit cards and so you must pay in cash. Be careful to not put too much money in as they do not give change! You also only have a few minutes to start fueling after payment so make sure you’ve got everything ready and know how to open the tank before. Should you have a problem and not get the fuel, or pay for more than what fits in your tank, the payment machine will issue a paper receipt that you can take back to the station during opening hours for a refund.
Travel Note
There are no taxis in the Monteriggioni area. The closest town with taxis is Siena, which is about 20 min away. Siena taxis are not always willing to come to Monteriggioni, and if they do, they will charge you also for the drive from Siena to Monteriggioni, which is about €25-€30. So it wouldn’t make sense to call a Siena taxi to take you just a few miles in the Monteriggioni area. If you do need a taxi it is a good idea to book in advance through Siena Taxi. The difficulty in finding taxis is why it is highly advisable to have a rental car.
