Matt and Erin met on Hinge in 2020, right during the peak of COVID, the time when you couldn’t order a drink without food, so they shared nachos. They went on their first date on August 9 and knew they had something special when they ended up closing down the restaurant. They could not stop talking the whole night, and realized they had so much in common, such as close families, their love of dogs and the beach, and a shared Chipotle addiction. A second date quickly followed, and ever since then, they have been best friends. In November 2022 they officially moved into the city together, where they still live now on E 29th street. Matt proposed to Erin on the beach on 7/21/23 at Robert Moses Field 5 in front of the Fire Island Lighthouse, a special place for them both and where they have spent many summer days together. Matt could not have planned a more perfect day and had family and friends waiting to celebrate their engagement. Now, we can't wait to become husband and wife! We're so excited to celebrate with all our favorite people.
