We met while working together at the hospital. I am a Nurse Practitioner and at the time, I was working in Cardiology. Kirk is a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist and was working in the cardiac Cath Lab. We connected over our shared love of two things, saving lives and Clemson football.

Kirk proposed in one of our favorite places on Earth, Clemson, SC. Specifically, he proposed at my family's tailgate before the Clemson-USC rivalry football game. Nearly all of our closest family were there to witness the special moment. I was TOTALLY surprised! Unfortunately, the Tigers lost the game, but it was still a special day that we'll never forget!
