Troy Waterfront Farmers Market
The Troy Farmers Market spans over 5 blocks of Downtown Troy and is outside on River Street, rain or shine, every Saturday, 9AM - 2PM, May - October. The market circles Monument Square which is the location where many nearby restaurants have food stands. The Market has all the great produce & products you would expect. From the nearby Riverfront Park there are great views of Starbuck Island.
Sea Smoke Waterfront Grill
Premium waterfront dining with menu featuring fresh, sustainable seafood, enticing entrées, and small bites. Located right next to Erin & John's apartment on Starbuck Island.
Bacchus Wood-Fired
Casual eatery serving specialty wood-fired pizzas & Italian pastas, plus beer & wine. Note - Comedian Kathleen Madigan has a performance at 7pm Friday evening at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall which is across the street. As such, we recommend reservations and to expect additional congestion upon arriving/departing.
McAddy's
The site of our first date! Laid-back pub with good Irish pub food. Has a game room and back patio. We recommend the mozzarella sticks -- make sure to get them with both marinara and, our local delicacy, melba sauce.
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
Award-winning BBQ from upstate NY with stunning riverside views overlooking the Hudson River. They have a seasonal outdoor deck area. Located just across the Hudson River from Starbuck Island.
The Dutch Udder Craft Ice Cream
Local ice cream shop with creative flavors, including GF/DF options. They're happy to offer samples if you want to try before you buy!
The Daisy
Requires a 10 min. drive out of Troy, but the fried chicken tacos are absolutely worth it. John's favorite food ever.
Nighthawks
Farm to table restaurant with a vintage vibe featuring cocktails, brunch & area-sourced cuisine. The best burger in town, which is made from local beef (Highland Hollow - Schoharie, NY). Reservations recommended.

A no-frills pub with the best wings in the Capital District.
La Capital Tacos
Authentic Mexican-style taqueria. We recommend telling them to go light on the onions.

Chowderfest
Sticking around after the wedding? Walk around Troy for the city-wide chowderfest on Sunday. Over 20 restaurants compete for the best chowder. No tickets required, all samples are $2 per 4 oz cup. Sunday 12pm - 5pm
