Maid of Honor
If you have never met Naomi you will be sure to on May 17th, she's blessed with an amazing energy for life, a gift for loving people and passion for worship. Naomi and Erin met in college, and she came along side Erin as an amazing friend, supporter in Erin's faith journey and encouragement in all walks of life. Whether they were together or across the country, somehow they've been able to keep their "Tuesday...duh" life check ins, and always have more coffee dates than seems feasible for friends across the country.
Best Man
Best friends since '94! Ryon was the most influential person in my life through high school. Even though growing up we would would only see each other a couple times each year, it felt like we always started right where we left off. Seeing how dedicated Ryon was to serving the Lord at such a young age made me wonder what I was doing with my life, and on a church retreat, when I was 15, I followed him down the stairs for an alter call and gave my life to Jesus. Since then he has been the guy I go to for advice and to make me laugh. Among some of his lifetime achievements are marrying a 10 despite being a 5 (at BEST), as well as being the only player in our softball league to yell back to the dugout "Ready for the walk-off bomb?", and then proceed to hit a 357 ft walk-off home run.
Best Brosmaid
Hallie is the next practically sister of Erin, and has earned the title of Best Brosmaid for her time invested into this marriage as a best friend, roommate, bro, proposal liaison, and in-house counselor for both Erin and Cody. Hallie was also probably the first to know that Erin saw something different in this Cody guy, so she naturally made sure he fit the bill and passed the best friend tests. Since Erin and Hallie came into Syracuse as freshman together, she's always had Erin's back and helped to guide her heart.
Groomsman
Kyle is my younger brother by a year, and one of my closest friends. We would do everything together growing up, including designing and building miniature golf courses in our back yard and charging our friends to play on it. He is the guy I go to when there is breaking news in sports and I HAVE to talk about it with someone. He and his wife Elise have both given me great dating tips to keep Erin around. Kyle is the member of the wedding party most likely to be on his phone during the ceremony yelling at Aaron Boone for leaving the Yankees' pitcher in the game for too long. If you get bored during the reception ask Kyle to go outside and toss a football with you. He will be thrilled! Avoid topics such as the 2001 World Series or old early March Madness exits for Duke when approaching Kyle.
Bridesmaid
Bridget was the big sister that Erin spent most of her childhood with; as roommates, teammates, and of course wardrobe-stealing-mates. Erin can't imagine those years without her and is excited to have her and her husband Anthony, son Axel and little daughter Athena with her and Cody to celebrate their marriage.
Groomsman
Jake. What a guy! I met Jake right after I graduated college and we became good friends very quickly. Jake was always there for me while I was living in Rochester. On most nights I would go to Troy and his apartment before I went home. They would lighten up a stressful day at work with their crazy stories and Would You Rather questions. Jake is great at making you feel special and having a genuine interest in what is going on in your life. He is also a goofball and will make any situation fun. His special talents are taking 30 minute showers, changing his mind 10 times before he orders food, and beating people in tennis despite not having played since high school. If Single Ladies plays he will be the first on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
Heidi is the best game strategist of the Little sisters. Since they were young kids and she was somehow the only one to have her own room, to today where she is a master of many boards, Erin's learned from Heidi that if you want to know all the rules you have to read them yourself! Thanks for always helping us little sisters find our ways in life!
Groomsman
Kenya is one of my closest friends from College. Before we even knew each other, when he was transferring, all of the kids who knew Kenya were excited for him and I to meet. Mostly because he loved baseball. I knew I liked him as soon as we started throwing. As we got to know each other we developed a close bond, from staying up late while doing Bible studies, to playing tennis at 2:00 in the morning. He's also great at math, and was the only reason why I passed my accounting classes. Kenya currently lives in the City so I get to visit him a couple of times each year, and I am so thankful for his sense of humor and genuine grace towards others. If you are considering talking to Kenya at the reception, just be prepared for awkward jokes about the groom, and don't repeat them to Erin.
Bridesmaid
Katrina is Erin's little sister and occasional slumber party, baking and crafting buddy. When they were younger Erin had the responsibility of knowing where Katrina was at all times. If the question was ever asked "where's Katrina?" Erin had better of had a good answer, or was fast enough to find her without everyone realizing she actually didn't know. Today Katrina's same go-where-the-wind-takes-you loving spirit reminds Erin that it's okay to wander from the crowd... we've always got someone looking out for us.
Groomsman
Dan and I were roommates for three years at Roberts Wesleyan College and is one of the best guys I know. He's smart, well dressed, and was really good at telling me how messy my side of the room was. When I graduated I didn't know what to do without him. Dan and I were always on the same Intramural teams throughout college, and we eventually won the dodgeball championship our Junior and Senior years. I loved having Dan in my life, especially at night. We would have the best conversations over Taco Bell and Xbox. He would also make the funniest Snapchat videos that everyone on campus would watch. Dan's spiritual gifts are knowing the budget for every film ever made and posting people up during basketball games.
